How we can help

Our Services

Dr. Passamano strongly believes in preventive dentistry as the best possible means to maintaining your smile for many years to come. Our dental philosophy focuses on conservative dental procedures and patient education to prevent cavities, gum disease, and enamel wear.

Root Canal therapy, also known as Endodontic treatment, is simply
removing the center portion/pulp of the tooth. Many times a root canal is
indicated when the tooth is painfully sensitive to hot or cold, discoloration of the tooth, or swelling or tenderness to gums. Without the pulp, the tooth will have no discomfort as the pulp consists of the nerves and the blood supply to the tooth.
Dr. Passamano approaches pediatric dentistry with enthusiasm and positive reinforcement. He is known for his comforting bedside manner and conservative treatment planning. Our office strives to make each child feel comfortable at visits. We recommend seeing children as early as one year old. Our goal is to make the 1st visit an positive experience and to ensure strong foundation for a lifetime of healthy teeth.
If you have lost some or all your teeth, a tooth replacement is a must and a denture will be an excellent choice for you. Patients who do not address missing teeth may notice teeth shifting/moving, sagging facial appearance and a decrease in chewing/biting function. Dr. Passamano will help you to decide what is the best way to give you a great smile.
A dental implant is a titanium screw that acts as an artificial root in the jaw bone to support a replacement tooth, bridge, or denture.
A dental filling restores and repairs the part of the tooth that has been damaged by decay, fracture, or wear. If tooth decay is left untreated the decay will continue to spread into tooth resulting in more invasive dental treatment. Therefore when a dental restoration is prescribed, the filling should be done in a timely manner to prevent further extensive and expensive treatment.
Gum Disease, also know as periodontal disease, is an infection of the gums surrounding the teeth. Gum disease is one of the top reasons for tooth loss in adults. Most of the time, there will be no pain associated with periodontitis and many patients do not know they have the disease.
You and Dr. Passamano may determine if you need an extraction for any number of reasons. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decay; while others may have advanced periodontal disease. Sometimes the tooth is broken in a way that cannot be repaired. Before a tooth is extracted, it is best to know the options for replacing a missing tooth.
Crowns are a solution for severely damaged teeth. A crown will act much like a helmet on a football player’s head. It will protect the tooth from further damage. This is indicated when tooth structure is compromised due to decay, fracture and/or crack. If a crown is prescribed, the damaged part of the tooth is removed and a build up (filling) is performed to replace the tooth.
Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you to improve your smile.
A bridge replaces a missing tooth. The procedure is to prepare one tooth on each side of the missing tooth for a crown. The teeth adjacent the missing tooth will share the load of the missing teeth. Then the lab fabricates a bridge that will connect both sides. The finished result is an esthetic replacement.
